"Black Thunder" was a design from 2001. The occasion was the 125.000th flying hour of the Tornado aircraft in the German Air Force.
The aircraft was introduced into service 1983 at FBW 31 "B".

The basic pure black colour was highlighted with the colours of the German nation flag along the whole aircraft.
